Happy New Year to everyone! It's been a while since I've posted anything, or had a chance to visit your blogs! The holidays behind and the cold weather settling in, I think that is about to change! I am starting off with my first finished piece for 2010, for my Etsy shop - a lovely Royal Imperial Jasper necklace! Such a beautiful stone to work with!!Monday, January 4, 2010

I'm Also Proud to Announce.....
...that my series of Art Nouveau inspired wire pieces will be a project based publication in the Spring 2010 issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry! Here's one of the pieces!
Publications for 2010!
What an honor! I've recently learned that my Etsy handmade findings shop:
has been chosen by Beadwork magazine, to be featured in an article on finishing jewelry being published in the Feb/March 2010 issue!

Just Discovered Something Cool...
Bead Trends magazine is a fairly new publication all about making jewerly. The magazine is great, but is fairly pricey (I think $17.95 per issue).
You can go online and pay only $4.95 per issue to download an e-copy. I've just downloaded the November 2009 issue, and it's very user-friendly, let's you zoom in very easily and is full of designs! Being a jewelry magazine junkie myself, thought I'd pass this on to anyone else who enjoys all of the beading magazines! Here's the link:

Workshop with Connie Fox

I was so lucky to have attended a workshop in Ohio with Connie Fox yesterday! I learned so many cool new techniques! We colored and stamped anodised aluminum, then wire and tube riveted the pieces to textured sterling silver links. What a blast! My head is spinning with new ideas, adding some color to metal. If you ever have the chance to take a class from Connie, do it!! She's a FABulous teacher, and the most wonderful person! You will learn so much!
